Sidney Lee Murphy McCall Hilliard was born November 15,1935 passed away February 17, 2022 in Winter Haven, FL. She was born and raised in Steinhatchee, FL. She was a born-again Christian of Baptist Faith. Sidney Lee would like you to know that her work here is done. She received a call from her Lord and Savior where she has gone to see him face to face. Sidney was a loving wife and mother, who never met a stranger. She was a waitress at Roy’s Restaurant, in the early years, where she loved her customers. One of her favorite jobs was becoming a Captain of a 110’ boat, where she delivered supplies and crew to Oil Rigs. Proceeded in death by her Mother Ethel V. Poppell Murphy Wood, Father Sidney Murphy and her Daddy Wilton Wood. Also, her Stepbrother Rudolph Wood, Daughter Melanie Lee McCall Stewart, Father of her Children Glenn C. McCall and Husband Jim Hilliard, and Stepson Myles Hilliard. Survived by: Sister Corine Karageorge, Daughters “Tillie” Glenda Jean Montney (Rick), Tammie Baylor-Cowart (Shelton), Angie Bussey (Ray), Sandra Hilliard Rogers, and Jim Hilliard, Jr. (Linda). Eleven Grandchildren, Seven Great Grandchildren, and One Great Great Grandchild. She will be missed by other relatives and many friends who loved her. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Steinhatchee.
