Paula G. Stoll

February 27, 1944 - October 23, 2021

Paula G. (Spires) Stoll was born on February 27, 1944 in Boston Massachusetts she was the only daughter of Francis M. (Greenwood) Spiers and Harry Spiers. She was called home on October 23, 2021 after a short battle with cancer. After graduating from Dedham High School, Paula attended the Henry O. Peabody School of Nursing in Norwood Massachusetts. She had a long and productive nursing career spanning 50 years. Paula was introduced by friends to her husband Walter ( Bill) W. Stoll and after a yearlong courtship, they were married on July 24, 1965. Paula was kind, generous and had a deep love for her family. She loved to travel and entertain. Her hobbies included painting, floral design and playing mahjong. Paula was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of High Springs, Florida. She was a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Contentment Chapter #184 in Dedham, Massachusetts and Santa Fa Chapter # 105 in High Springs, Florida. She also belonged to the Lions Club in Homosassa, and Newberry, Florida. Paula was preceded in death by her parents Frances M. (Greenwood) Spiers and Harry Spiers and her daughter Karen E. Stoll. Paula is survived by her husband of 56 years Walter (Bill) W. Stoll, her daughter Pamela J. Radder and her husband David R. Radder, her son David W. Stoll and his wife Rhonda K. Stoll, and her three grandchildren: Brooke (Thomas) Cobble her husband Benjamin Cobble, Zachary T. Thomas and his wife Johna Thomas and Katherine F. Radder. A memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of High Springs on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 11:00AM, followed by a luncheon at the church. The service will be presided over by Reverend Rhonda Link-Commings. There will be a private burial in Dover, Massachusetts at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Joslin Diabetes Center or First Presbyterian Church of High Springs, PO Box 1448 High Springs, FL 32655 Arrangements have been placed under the care of the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Chiefland Chapel, with locations in Cross City 352-498-5400 and Chiefland 352-493-0050.
