Nicholas Edward Carter, 58, of Old Town, Florida passed away November 13, 2019. Mr. Carter was born January 14, 1961 to the late Clyde and Veta Carter in Perry, Florida, but he had lived in the Dixie County area for most of his life. He worked for several years as a logger and was a member of Central Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Mr. Carter is survived by his wife of eight years Phyllis Carter, his sons Corey Carter of Gainesville, FL and Keegan Carter of Old Tow, his daughters Lacie Hajdari (Esat) of Gainesville, FL and Lorett Velez (Tony) of Tallahassee, FL, his granddaughter Veta Ruth Hajdari, his grandson Anthony Valez, his sisters Yavonne King (Mark) of Perry, FL, Emily Perryman (Matt) of Perry, FL, and Lee Allie Kraas (Kevin) of Panama City, FL, and other extended family members. Funeral services for Mr. Carter will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Central Baptist Church in Cross City, with Rev. David Downing officiating. Interment will follow at Old McCrabb Cemetery in Old Town. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
