Kathy J. Futch Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kathy Jane Futch age 65, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 27, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Kathy was born September 1, 1956, to Sam and Lucille Futch of Cross City, Florida where she grew up and made a life for herself. She is preceded in death by her father, Sam Futch. Kathy was a generous and caring woman who served her community through her consignment shop, New to You, that she ran for nearly 20 years. She had an unmatched work ethic and was an altruistic person with a generous spirit. Kathy will be remembered for her over the top personality, blunt responses and humorous demeanor. Kathy was a loving and selfless mother and GiGi who devoted her life to her girls and to being a grandmother. She was in her element when she was spending time with family, her three dogs or on vacations to the beach or mountains. Kathy is survived by her daughters Kaylla (Terry) Fryar and Ariel Fallender, grandsons Austin and Connor Fryar, mother Lucille Futch and siblings Debbie (Roy) DeWeese, Bart Futch and Kevin Futch along with multiple nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Cross City Cemetery at 12:00 p.m. Per Kathy’s wishes, immediately after the service, we ask that friends and family gather at her mother’s home across the street for food and fellowship as a celebration of life.
