JORDON RUSSELL WARD, 25, of Cross City passed away June 16, 2017. Jordon was born February 28, 1992 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but had lived in the Dixie County area since 2006. He had worked as a Firefighter / EMT with Levy County, Dixie County, Gilchrist County, Cross City Correctional, and Shands Care. Jordon served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, was a member of the Dixie County Dive Rescue Team, and had been a member of the Cross City Volunteer Fire Department. He attended Lydia Baptist Church in Cross City. Jordon is survived by his wife Ashley Ward, a son Bryson Ward, a daughter Alani Ward, his father Kendall Ward (Jodi), his mother Valarie Ward, a brother Dalton Ward, his maternal grandfather Russ Seymour, his paternal grandmother Gloria Hanson (Ronald), an uncle Russell Seymour, an aunt Jacqueline Keough, and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Arliene Seymour. Funeral services for Jordon will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Cross City, with Pastor Jarrett Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Cross City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Cross City Tuesday evening June 20, 2017 from 6 – 8 PM.
