John E. Rogers

John Edward Rogers, age 72 passed away in his home in Old Town, Florida on Tuesday, April 2, 2024. He was born March 7, 1952, to his loving parents Earl Joseph Rogers Jr. & Ruby Christine Tolar-Rogers. For many years, John worked in the family business as a vegetable broker and managed a farm in Manatee County. John was a restaurateur operating a Mexican style restaurant in Nogales, Arizona and later in Bradenton, Florida. John attended Southeast High School in Bradenton, Florida and later studied at Bethany Bible College in Alabama, and at New Brunswick Theological Seminary in New Jersey to become an ordained minister. He began as an associate minister under Rev. Dr. Alex Harper Sr. at Bible Baptist Church in Palmetto, Florida. Then Shiloh Baptist in Trenton, New Jersey under Rev. Dr. Howard Woodson before founding Heavens Saints Worship Center. Heaven Saints Worship Center has recently moved to a new location on ROGERS ROAD. John was planning to do the opening revival in a few months. In honor of John, Pastor Herbie Pierce and wife Joan along with his son Herbie Jr, & family have decided to name the new sanctuary, John Rogers Worship Center in honor of John’s work on earth. They are also going to be planting churches all over the world in their founder’s name, John Rogers. When Father Creator honors the work, you have done on earth it is huge. We are so grateful, thankful, and blessed to hear this miraculous news at such a time as this! John earned much recognition and awards in New Jersey for his work with the homeless and in addiction prevention while holding a Chaplin position in Trenton where he helped countless individuals. Later John started the outreach bike ministry Faithful Few in Bradenton at Corks Cigar Bar on Sunday mornings bringing the Unconditional love of Christ in and through him. In 2011 John moved to West Virginia with his wife Ann where he started new outreach ministries. John was president & founder of Ministers of Fire Motorcycle Ministry formed to offer help to those suffering from drug addiction and raise awareness. His team also raised money to gift children suffering from illnesses to purchase any medical equipment they may need. John was contracted through the County to counsel at the local Drug Rehabilitation program and the entire motorcycle ministry team worked tirelessly together having events where all proceeds went to the local drug program in whatever county an event was planned. These events were called Brothers in Arms Taking It Back. When John retired, he & Ann decided to purchase a home with acreage to turn into a small hobby farm in Old Town Florida. John has always had a love for raising animals and filled his days caring for his chickens, goats, pigs, turkeys, and raising Anatolian Shepherd Guardian dogs. John is survived by his wife Gailia Ann, and his children and their families; Kim, Joe (Edie), Aimee (Harry), Selena, Melissa (Drew), John (Jeanne), Maria (Eric), Bo, Dana (Stephen), as well as his Grandchildren- Christa, Renee, Joycelyn, Elle, Grace, Kendall, Alex, McKinley, Kora, Gabby, Ashley(Flavian), Katelyn(JC), Evan Lee, Wayne, Allison(Austin) and great grandchild- Denver, Caige and Alaina, his brother Ronnie (Danette) and sisters Debbie (Mark) and Becky, Nephews – Jacob, Sam(Megan),Ryan, nieces- Kara and Katie (Danny), aunts, uncles & cousins, in addition to other extended family and mother.
