Hubert Lashley

MR. HUBERT LASHLEY, 80, of Steinhatchee, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. Mr. Lashley was born in Salem, Florida to Valerie H. and Nanny Livingston Lashley on September 13, 1935. He served in the United States Coast Guard retiring as an E-9 Master Chief Electrician after 25 years of service. After retiring he moved back to Steinhatchee, the area of his youth. He loved to go fishing and work in his garden. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Faye Lashley; son, Darrel Eugene (Polly) Lashley of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Tammy E. Lashley of Buzzard Bay, MA; grandchildren, Jeffrey M. Lashley and Jennifer Fougere; great grandchildren, Madison Fougere, Jackson Fougere, Easton Fougere, Payton Lashley and Kyle Lashley; brother-in-law Robert Roebuck of Gainesville, FL and sister-in-law, Kathy Roebuck of Steinhatchee, FL. He was preceded in death by a son, Hubert Jeffrey Lashley. A memorial service was held in his honor at Friendship Chapel Church of God on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00am with Pastor George Hage officiating.
