Ruby Corbin

Ruby Mae Corbin, 69, of Steinhatchee, Florida, passed away peacefully, March18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion. Ruby was the beloved wife of 51 years to Benjamin Corbin, sharing a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. She was a devoted mother to her children: Camilla Pace (John), Chelsea Morrow (Garrett), Maggie Corbin, and Ben Corbin Jr. (Angela). She was a proud and loving grandmother to Hattie, Hope, Courtney, Jonathan, Gracelynn, Kinleigh, Rayleigh, Augustus, Penelope, Hazel, and Oliver, and a treasured great-grandmother to Weston, Ryder, Madelyn, Knox, Dottie Mae, Ruby, Floretta, and Lawson. Her legacy continues through each of them. Ruby is also survived by her brother, Jake Standland (Vickie), and her sister, Diane Ellison, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. Ruby was a faithful and devoted member of First Baptist Church of Cross City, Florida. She faithfully served in the Awana ministry for over thirty years, pouring into the lives of countless children and helping guide them in their walk with Christ. She had a special place in her heart not only for her own family, but for all of her “extra kids” whom she loved deeply and treated as her own. Ruby’s life was a reflection of her strong Christian faith. She loved the Lord and lived out her faith daily through service, encouragement, and love for others. A verse that reflects her heart and life is the Awana verse: “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” — 2 Timothy 2:15 Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. A celebration of Ruby’s life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Cross City, Florida, with visitation with the family beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
