Patsy S. Davis

Mrs. Patsy Scott Davis, daughter of the late Henry Elmer Scott and Bonnie Skeen Scott was born February 1, 1942, in Jefferson, Tennessee. She was a graduate of Callahan High School's Class of 1960. At an early age, she professed her faith in Jesus Christ. She was a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully and served as a member of the Personnel Committee and Pastor Search Committee until her health declined. She was united in holy matrimony to Dale Norman Davis on October 1, 1961. Their union was blessed with five children. Dale Davis preceded her in death on July 16, 2007. Mrs. Davis was her husband's primary caregiver for 23 years during his extended illness with Alzheimer's Disease. She retired from Davis Property Management in 2018. She was an Administrative Assistant at the company for 20 years. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved and respected by many. Her Christian life was as beautiful as the flowers that she loved so well, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She quietly departed this life September 26, 2021 at her home in Ocala, Florida. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Rense Norman Joldersma, father, Henry Elmer Scott, mother, Bonnie Skeen Scott, sister, Jo Scott Hill, brother-in-law, Elmer Hill, brother Earl Scott, sister-in-law, Betty Thomas Scott, and brothers, Jimmie Lynn Scott and Jack Clarence Jett. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Lance (Denise) Davis of Ocala, FL, Delana (Stephen) Newsom of Advance, NC, Shelah (John) Slater of Ocala, FL, Scott (Heather) Davis of Ft. Myers, FL, Bethany (Eric) Blizard of Advance, NC, sons-in-law: Douglas Patrick Joldersma of Winston-Salem, NC, Derrick (Rebecca) Williams of Gallatin, TN, and Nathan (Renee) Morgan of Lake City, FL; seventeen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; sisters: Pollie Scott (Michael) King of Longview, TX and Norita Davis of Newberry, FL; sister-in-law, Marie Hanson Scott of Jacksonville, FL; and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at the Forest Grove Baptist Church in Alachua, Florida, with Rev. Tony Clubb officiating. Interment will follow at the Jonesville Cemetery in Newberry, Florida. The family will receive friends at the Heritage, 20727 SW 46th Ave, Newberry, FL 32669, for a reception following the service.
