Mary Jordan

Mary Sue Jordan, on the evening of Thursday, December 12, 2024, Mary Sue Jordan passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a patient at Bedrock Rehabilitation in Lake City, Florida at the time of her death. Mary was born in Bell, Florida on June 16, 1940. She was raised in Tampa and later moved to Bell, Florida where she lived for 52 years. Mary had the heart of a servant. She not only worked for many years as a caregiver but also was a caregiver to many others during times of illness including her husband, children, siblings, and grandchildren. She loved people and always gave her all – 100%, nothing left undone! She was a devoted wife to Harvey for 69 years. She loved camping and traveling with her husband and family. When Mary wasn’t busy doing for others, you could find her sitting with Harvey and watching preachers and listening to Christian music on the television. Through the difficulties and tragedies of life, Mary was known for saying, “It’s gonna be alright”. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Leona Browning, her sister, Betty Ramey, sons, John & Kenny Jordan, granddaughter, Megan Jordan, and brothers, Jacob, Harold, Henry, and Jimmy Browning. Mary leaves behind her husband Harvey, daughter, Brenda Land (Steve), sons Timmy, Harvey Jr. (Sarah), and Jeffrey (Rhonda) Jordan, sisters, Joyce Best and Shirley Moolhuysen, brother Morgan Browning (Dorothea), twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A big hole will be left in the family's heart as Mary was the one that so many looked to for help and advice. A graveside service will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Townsend Cemetery 5581 NW 55th Ave Bell, Florida, officiated by Pastor Scott Campbell. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home, 16984 SE Hwy 19 Cross City, Florida.
