Charles and Beverly Langford

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Evans Langford (79) and Beverly Griffith Langford (77) affectionately known as “Mamaw/meme & Papa” to their grandchildren and “Big Papa” to his great-grandchildren. Charles passed away peacefully, on March 19, 2025 and Beverly passed away March 20, 2025 leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories and a legacy of love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the great outdoors. Born and raised in Florida, Charles and Beverly found their greatest joys in the simple pleasures of life—hunting, fishing, and spending time in the woods running dogs. Whether gathered around a fire with friends or sharing stories from their many adventures, they were always happiest beneath the open sky. A dedicated and hardworking man, Charles spent 46 years serving at the University of Florida, where his commitment and loyalty left a lasting impact. His work ethic and love for his community were evident in everything he did. Beverly devoted 30 years of service to Farm Credit, where her hard work and kindness touched the lives of many. Beverly was known for her warm heart, unwavering strength, and the deep love she had for her family. Charles and Beverly leave behind a family who adored them, a circle of friends who will never forget their warmth and humor, and a legacy built on a life well-lived. Though they may no longer walk among us, their spirit will forever remain in the whisper of the wind through the trees, the ripples on a quiet fishing pond, and the glow of a campfire shared with loved ones. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Concord Baptist Church, Chiefland with Pastor Jamie Brock officiating. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Cemetery, Newberry. One hour prior to the service, friends and family will gather at the church, to honor their memory and share stories of the couple who meant so much to so many. Rest easy, Mamaw/Meme and Papa.
