Judy Pinner

Judy R. Pinner, 70, was born on February 17, 1954, she passed December 8, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronny Pinner; parents, Harmon and Ruth Keen; brothers, Earnest “Beef” Keen and Allen Keen; Sisters, Gloria “Bunkin” Cooper and Mary Ellen “Sugar” Cassidy. She is survived by her brother, Berry Keen; sister, Donna Kay Lamb; children: son, Gene Pinner and wife Brandie Pinner and daughter Morgan Pinner McQueen; grandchildren, Alli Pinner, Bradley Henderson, Sydney Henderson, Cale McQueen, Mercury Lloyd and Aubree McQueen She was a lifelong resident of Old Town Florida, graduating from Dixie County High School, and earning her ASN in Nursing where she was a registered pediatric nurse at Shands Hospital for 28 years before retiring. In those 28 years she touched countless lives both young and old because she truly loved what she did and had so much love to give. During her life she had many jobs, she was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother and a nana, and she was great at all of these because these wasn’t “jobs” to her …they came naturally. After retirement she traveled seeing different parts of the world; Italy, Rome, Greece but home was always here in Old Town surrounded by Niece’s and Nephew’s, always having an open door to any of the neighborhood kids that wanted a snack, piece of candy or just to play on the swing hanging in the tree in the front yard. Always being there with a helping hand with whatever anyone needed, a babysitter, giving a kid a ride to school or a ballgame, never asking for anything in return except a hug or kiss. She always had many stories to tell, but her favorite was of her childhood, growing up just down the road from here, playing with her brothers and sisters, of her grandmother and her mother, in that ole oak grove where she requested to spend eternity. There are not enough adjectives in the vocabulary to describe her, but here’s a few: caring, honest, patient, loving, kind and nurturing. The mold of a “mother” was broken when she was made, there will never be another that could fill her shoes or carry this weight as good as her. She will be missed and remembered, by anyone that she ever came in contact, as a truly amazing person. Funeral services for Judy will be held 6:00 PM Thursday, December 12, 2024 at the Faith Baptist Church, Old Town. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
